Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s): In the spring, your child participated in the Missouri Assessment Program (EOC) or End-of-Course exam. Districts must ensure that students complete EOC assessments in Algebra I, English II, Biology, and Government prior to high school graduation. The MAP Grade-Level Assessments provide important information that contributes to decisions concerning individual students, groups of students and educational programs. We just received the Individual Student Reports (ISRs) from Questar, our EOC testing vendor. The Individual Student Report includes an Achievement Level, which will describe your student’s performance as Below Basic, Basic, Proficient, or Advanced. The report will also include a short description of the knowledge and skills that are typically demonstrated by students in each Achievement Level. The Individual Student Reports (ISRs) will be available for you to pick up at your student’s Parent Teacher Conference on October 28th. If you would like for your child’s Individual Student Report to be sent home prior to that time, please notify myself or the school office to request the report to be sent home with your student. While the EOC Assessment results provide valuable information, it is important to remember that these results are only one indicator of your student’s academic performance and represent only a portion of the larger educational picture of your child.
