Good morning Hawk Nation! The district is sending our thoughts and prayers to the surrounding areas that experienced destruction from the storms last night, especially our friends in Delta. Unfortunately, we are asking for extra positive thoughts and prayers for one of our own. Mrs. Mackenzie Thompson's family experienced a devastating total loss last night due to a house fire from the storms. The district will be collecting donations to help them recover. On March 11th, the Scott County R-IV School District Board of Education joined 240 school districts, representing over 434,000 students across Missouri, to officially oppose any legislation regarding open enrollment by passing this resolution. Currently, House Bill 711 (HB 711) is the most recent version of legislation focused on making Missouri an open enrollment state. Stay tuned for additional information about HB 711 in the days to come. #HawkNation
