High School

From the Desk of Mr. Winberry
Dear Kelly High School,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year! I can't wait to say hello to all of the returning high school students, and I hope that each of you had a relaxing, productive summer. I am excited to meet all of our incoming 9th grade students, transfer students, and the families that are new to our building; I hope that each student feels included in the Hawks family right from the beginning because the community spirit at Kelly is really like no other!
I hope that everyone is anticipating an awesome year full of opportunities for growth and learning. I know the faculty and staff at the high school have worked tirelessly to prepare for this year, and I appreciate the effort and hard work that goes into preparing for the school year.
I want to encourage families to play an active role in your child's education; family involvement and a strong partnership with the school play an integral role in student success. My number one objective is to provide the best environment for students to be able to prepare for their lives after graduation, and I know that the best way for this to happen is for the school, families, and community to work together.
I would like to invite the incoming freshmen and their parents to attend the orientation taking place on Wednesday, August 13 at 6:00pm in the high school gym. All high school students and their families are encouraged to attend the Open House on Thursday, August 14 at 5:30pm.
For students that are new to the district, and as a reminder to all other students, the following is a brief list of ways to make sure you are doing your part to set yourself up for success each day:
Arrive to school on time. The school day for 2025-2026 will begin promptly at 7:55am and will end at 3:02pm.
Come prepared. Teachers will provide a list of supplies necessary for each class, and the district provides a Chromebook for each student.
Get involved. Kelly High School has many opportunities to get involved outside of the classroom. All students are encouraged to join a club, sports team, or after-school activity.
Once again, welcome to another great school year!
